Things are moving along well with our remodeling project. The new windows are in, the electrical is almost finished and most of the plumbing is done. We got all our plumbing fixtures and bath tub. And we even managed to get the bath tub (all 400 pounds of cast iron) into the house using a sort of Macgyver technique of a ramp and rolling the tub on old pipe. Not only is the tub inside the house but no one lost any limbs or injured their back. Today was a big day because we finally ordered our cabinets. The only big decision Mike and I have left to make are the counter tops and flooring.
So, the plan is to finish the plumbing and Mike is finishing up closing all the holes in the house and then fill in insulation. Then we start sheetrock, then cabinet installation, counter installation, floors and appliances.... then lots of painting. Anyone interested in a painting party? Beer and pizza provided :)
